Antiquities Display Celebrates Clean Show’s 30 Years

The textile care industry has come a long way over the past 30 years. Evidence of some of the changes will be visible at the Clean ‘07, which celebrates the show’s 30th anniversary June 11-14 in the Las Vegas Convention Center.

A special feature of the 2007 trade show will be an Antiquities Area located in one of the restaurants on the exhibit floor. At least 25 of the show’s exhibiting companies are loaning photos and equipment dating back 30 years and beyond for the display. Attendees can see washers, ironers, extractors and more from as far back as 1914. International Fabricare Institute, one of the Clean Show sponsors, will also participate in the display in celebration of its 100th anniversary.

The Clean Show, started in 1977 by six industry associations to consolidate several trade shows into one biennial industry-wide exposition, has grown to be the world’s largest textile care exhibition. Clean ’05 in Orlando ranked 113 among the top 200 shows in North America based on exhibit space. The show over the years has been the focal point for new industry information through its educational sessions and the latest technology in equipment and products demonstrated by exhibiting companies on the show floor.
