Planning ahead to maximize time is easy for those who will be attending the Clean 2011 show at the Las Vegas Convention Center June 6-9. Just log on to the show’s Web site at www.cleanshow. com and use the tools available to plan your time.
How do you do that? Visit the Attendees section of the website and click on My Briefcase. After establishing a login password, two sub-categories are accessed that allow attendees to plan what educational sessions they wish to attend (My Itinerary), and what exhibit booths they want to visit (My Expo Plan). Much like shopping on the internet, the selected items are added to a cart. When completed, selections go into My Briefcase. With just a few exceptions, educational sessions are posted on the website. The format is flexible so that all sessions can be viewed or they can be displayed by sponsoring association, speaker, or date and time. Some information is subject to change, so occasional reviews are recommended.
Attendees will have even more access to show information on show site using their smartphones with a new system designed specifically for trade shows.
ChirpE™, designed by event marketing and software company a2z, is a free, user-friendly tool that allows attendees to save exhibitors and educational sessions, and access the floor plan in real time between ChirpE and the show website. More information will be available closer to the show.
CLEAN ADDS KOREAN LANGUAGE EDUCATION
Also, for the first time, Korean language educational sessions will be offered at Clean 2011. Two hours of Korean education are scheduled on each of three mornings of the Clean Show. The Drycleaners Times, a Korean trade publication, sponsors the program.
“We wanted to reach out to the Korean community, which is such a large segment of the textile care industry,” said John Riddle, president of Riddle & Association that manages the Clean Show. “When The Drycleaners Times approached us about providing education specifically directed toward the Korean market, we believed it was a win-win opportunity for everyone.”
Korean language sessions complement a full educational program presented by the show’s sponsors and other textile care associations from the U.S., Canada and Europe. A complete schedule, representing over 40 hours of education valued at more than $10,000, is available on the show’s website: www.cleanshow. com. All sessions are presented from 8 to 10 a.m. on show days.
“We hope Korean professionals will take advantage of this opportunity, not only for the education, but also to see virtually all the working equipment, products and services available to the industry. In fact we have expanded the show floor to accommodate the companies that want to exhibit. The Clean Show is the only place to find everything in one location, and it only happens every two years,” Riddle said.

Imperial Laundry Acquired
RACINE WI. — Imperial Laundry Systems has been acquired by CMJ Partners, a private investment firm based in Vero Beach, Fla. The facility launders hospitals and hotel goods in Illinois and Wisconsin. The new company will be called Imperial Laundry Services and it will remain in Racine.
