SITEX Expands To Accommodate Business

HENDERSON, KY -- Sitex, Kentucky’s largest independently owned uniform and linen rental service has undergone yet another expansion to accommodate burgeoning business.

This April, the Henderson, KY based company moved into their new $7 million plant. This plant will process up to 375,000 pounds of laundry weekly on a single shift, with the ability to take on more poundage via extending or adding shifts, ultimately increasing their capacity 50 – 60 percent.

Steady Growth Leads To Expansion Of Superior Linen’s Muskogee Plant

TULSA, Okla. – Superior Linen Service Inc.’s laundry business, incorporated in 1984 with 20 employees, has steadily grown over the years to encompass three facilities, 350 employees and state-of-the art machinery. Serving 4,000 business customers, Superior Linen washes 600,000 pounds of linen a week and more than 1 million napkins monthly.

Productivity Flows At Sodexho's New West Coast Facility

STOCKTON, Calif. -- With more than 35 laundry facilities, Sodexho USA drew upon vast experience when designing their newest Stockton facility. Construction followed 24 months of planning and input from other Sodexho plants’ executives, managers, and engineers and resulted in a mega-laundry, designated the ‘Safety Role Model’ for all Sodexho laundries.

Drive To Unite Angelica

NEW YORK, N.Y. – UNITE, the union of laundry workers in North America, announced that hundreds of workers at plants in more than 20 cities have begun a coordinated campaign to fight for unionization in the nation’s largest healthcare laundry provider, Angelica Textile Services.

Ecolab Receives Environmental Stewardship Award

AUSTRIA - An environmental stewardship award was recently given to Ecolab Inc. in Austria in recognition of the their efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of a local hospital laundry. The award is for implementing their PERformance SMART low-temperature at an Austrian hospital. The laundry program is said to reduce water and energy usage, in addition to shortening wash time.
