To meet that demand, Smith and his team developed and implemented a service model to match the dependability and toughness of Dickies clothes and named it Dickies Workwear Delivered.
The first major shift under the new program was the creation of the Dickies Core Collection. The collection is comprised of the brand’s core workwear products, which are the clothes that Dickies customers order often and in high quantities. The Dickies Core Collection is maintained with deep inventory positions that come with an unmatched delivery promise: core products ordered before 10 a.m. are shipped the same day; core products ordered
after 10 a.m. are shipped within 24 hours. The rest of the Dickies catalog carries an impressive 48-hours or less shipping promise.
The order fulfillment service level is 98 percent. Meaning 98 percent of core orders are filled in full, the same day. The muscle behind the enhanced logistics is the addition of two new Dickies distribution centers in Atlanta and Ontario, CA, joining the hometown facility in Fort Worth. Inside these distribution centers are hundreds of Dickies workers dedicated to the “Delivered” mission, along with some high-tech toys that help get the job done.

ATLANTA, GA — Exhibit space sales are under way for Clean 2013. The trade show will take place June 20-22, 2013, in the New Orleans Morial Convention Center. Over 400 companies offering virtually every product and service used in the textile care industry are seen at the world’s largest trade show for laundry, drycleaning and textile services.

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ -- Diamond Chemical Co., Inc., a supplier to St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York was requested by St. Vincent’s to make an emergency delivery shortly after the World Trade Center attack. Diamond’s driver Franklin Collado was escorted by the East Rutherford Police Department to the George Washington Bridge and then by the New York Police Department to St. Vincent’s facility. Diamond made adonation of product to the hospital which Collado delivered.

Ecolab Acquires Dober Chemical’S Textile Care Business
ST. PAUL, Minn. — Ecolab Inc. a leader in cleaning, sanitizing, food safety and infection prevention products and services announced it has purchased the commercial laundry division of Dober Chemical Corporation. The acquisition includes Dober’s laundry chemical and waste water treatment and Ultrax dispensing businesses as well as an exclusive partnership to market and provide key components of its Spindle monitoring software.
“Dober is respected throughout the industry for its innovative monitoring technology, product chemistry and commitment to service – qualities that complement our own strengths at Ecolab,” said Brian Henke, vice president and general manager, Ecolab Textile Care North America. “As we expand our North American commercial laundry business, innovation and service excellence will continue to be our top priority as we partner with our customers to deliver unsurpassed value to run their operations more efficiently, sustainably and cost effectively.”

Through this agreement, Spindle Technologies,a division of Dober, is forming a strategic alliance with Ecolab Textile Care in an exclusive licensing agreement for its ChemWatch Software technology and the OPTRAX Utility Module.
“There will be no movement of people as they currently all operate remotely,” said Henke. “The Dober leadership team is very skilled and respected in the industry. We plan to have them as part of the team moving forward.
